Since I first found this thing, it has gotten bigger and for weeks now I can feel it without having to touch it. My Dr tells me he will refer me to a general surgeon and I get an appt for May 22nd. I am very confused by this because the lump can be felt when felt for and I can also feel it inside my body when it's touched. On May 9th I go for my follow up appt and am told x rays were normal, blood work was normal except high triglycerides and low good cholesterol and cat scan is normal other then a kidney stone and a small umbilical hernia. May 1st comes, I go to my appt, Dr says he feels something there and orders chest x ray, x ray of ribs, basic blood work and a cat scan of my abdomen without contrast. I called ever morning trying to get in sooner but had no luck. I called my new primary and was given an appt for May 1st (over a month and a half away) because I was a new patient they had nothing sooner. I called my primary for an appt and found out my insurance assigned me to a new primary Dr. I am 35 year old female looking for someone/someone's who are or have been where I am now.Ī few weeks before Easter while in the shower I felt a lump under my ribs on the left side. If there is ever an additional treatment found that's approved by actual medical professionals then you will all be the first to know because I will post it here, but up to this point no supplement or "natural remedy" has ever been found to have any effect on lipomas.Hello everyone, I will try to make this as brief as possible. Posts that say that one can shrink the size of lipomas by taking supplements or rubbing giraffe saliva on them or whatever are scams and will be removed. There are no pills or oils or herbs or whatever that treat this condition, unfortunately. No "natural medicine" scams! The only known medical treatments for lipomas up to this point are various forms of surgery and liposuction. If you have a link you want to share that contains footage of professionally performed surgery (performed by a doctor) please message me about it before you post and I'll more than likely approve it if it contains helpful information or footage. I also don't want this subreddit to fill up with surgery videos because that's not what it's intended to be this is supposed to be a safe place to talk with fellow lipoma-sufferers, not a surgery subreddit. Apparently some people try to remove their lipomas through self-surgery but I don't want to encourage that through this subreddit because it can obviously be very dangerous if you don't know what you're doing (or even if you do know what you're doing). Having lipomas can be extremely demoralizing sometimes and any comments intended to be hurtful, cruel, or mocking towards someone with this condition will be removed. Absolutely no trolling or insults this is a supportive community. Standard rules apply, be nice, no spam, blah blah blah.

These lumps suck, but they are NOT the end of the world or the end of your life! You can still live a life full of happiness, joy, friendship, love, go-karts, and all that other good stuff even if you have lumps, and this subreddit is here for you! Hopefully this subreddit will provide a positive space to find friends who share your experiences because one of the best things to have when fighting this condition is a community that understands. It can feel very lonely and depressing to have this condition and have nobody to talk to that shares the same frustrations and experiences that you're going through.
Since having multiple lipomas is a rare condition there's not many places people can go to find others who suffer from the same condition. Whether you have one lipoma or a whole bunch of them, this is a supportive place for lipoma sufferers to talk and share with each other about living life to the fullest even with lipomas, as well as a place to share personal experiences, the best insurance, surgeons, and surgical treatments, the struggles in having this condition, and how you stay positive and cope on a day-to-day basis.
